Madaline Zannes

Madaline Zannes is principal lawyer and founder of Zannes Law. Prior to starting the firm, Madaline obtained a wealth of experience working with numerous prestigious law firms in downtown Toronto, where she fell in love with real estate, intellectual property, business, and corporate law. Her interest in technology has extended her range to include tech startups and metaverse law.

Madaline provides legal and advising services to clients across Ontario and internationally. She is a certified trainer and facilitator, speaker, guest lecturer, and writer, having had her work featured in an array of publications. She is also partner of the Metaverse Bar Association.

She has presented at various educational institutions and organizations such as the Law Society of Ontario as faculty; the Singapore Academy of Law, in collaboration with the Singapore Ministry of Law; guest lectured Schulich School of Business MBA real estate developers on PropTech, and has stood as an emotional and cultural intelligence assessor for the Law Practice Program at Lincoln Alexander School of Law on multiple occasions.

Cited as one of the top legal influencers to follow in 2018 by Disruptor Daily, Madaline advocates and spreads awareness of innovation and the law globally. She was recognized as Greek America’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2018, a prestigious award that celebrates the community’s top talent in business, arts, sciences and other fields, who excel not only professionally but also philanthropically.

Prior to starting her practice, Madaline obtained a wealth of experience working as a corporate trainer in banking and finance, and also worked at numerous law firms in Toronto, focusing on real estate, intellectual property, corporate law, and estates. In the entertainment realm, she extensively worked alongside musicians, artists, talent and models in pushing their personal brands forward. She is recognized for her many years of modeling with top photographers in the industry.

After graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School with a J.D., she worked for approximately a decade as a consultant in the legal technology scene, becoming a leader in the space and driving the industry forward to innovate law as much as possible. This experience in technology extended her interest to include tech startups, and web3 and metaverse clients in her range of legal work.

With a vast online audience, Madaline has traveled and connected with legal colleagues and entertainment professionals internationally. She is a connector who works to elevate people around her.
